TRANSLATION
The cost of translation depends on the language, quantity of text (number of words or pages* of text), the complexity of the terminology (field), formatting, proof-reading, deadline and numerous other factors.
* (1 page=1800 characters including spaces).
Our bureau provides three different translation packages.
1) Basic package:
includes translation by a qualified translator
2) Advanced package:
includes translation by a qualified translator and proofreading by a qualified translator
3) Expert package:
includes translation by an expert in the field and proofreading by an expert in the same field
We also offer the possibility of compiling a glossary during translation for use by your company.
INSTRUCTION AND COURSES:
- language training for business people/company courses (group learning, private lessons)
calculated per hour of instruction (60 min), not per number of students
- courses for the general public (group learning)
66 school hours, twice weekly, charged per student; for a group to be formed there must be at least 5 students enrolled
- individual instruction

Payment may be made for courses in instalments.

TRANSLATIONS - for larger volumes of texts, and for long-term business partners and students displaying a student ID which indicates that they are enrolled in studies in the current year.
INSTRUCTION - for larger numbers of students (6 per semester), or on payment of 2 or more courses.

How to calculate number of characters and words?
If your document is in electronic form in Microsoft Word, you may use the word count function (Tools > Word Count) and you will see the number of characters with spaces and the number of words. |

In Croatia there are different unit measures for calculating the volume of a translation (standard pages, pages, words etc.) We are different from other Croatian agencies in that we offer you the possibility of calculating the volume of your translation according the number of source words. This differs from the unit measurement of a standard page of translated text (1800 characters with spaces, but bearing in mind that the size of the "standard page” varies from agency to agency: from 1200-1800 characters, both with and WITHOUT spaces), and is much more transparent, as it allows a realistic and accurate determination of the cost of the translation. Calculation by standard page was the norm when typewriters were still used and when the unit cost of a translation was calculated as being 1800 keystrokes. This method of translation is practically no longer used in Europe as it is not accurate or appropriate to international standards and causes unnecessary expense to clients.
